Dr. Carolyn Yeung

Dr. Yeung completed her medical school training at Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario, and her Family Practice residency in Vancouver. She is a Clinical Instructor in the Department of Family Practice at UBC.

Dr. Kung completed her undergraduate training at the University of BC and family medicine residency training in Toronto. She is part of the Family Practice Maternity Service (FPMS) group of family doctors who provide maternity care at BC Women’s Hospital. She is a Clinical Instructor in the Department of Family Practice at UBC.

Dr. Bong completed her undergraduate medical training and family medicine residency training at the University of Alberta in Edmonton. She moved to Vancouver in 2010 and has been a physician at Centro Medical since 2014.

General Surgeons

Dr. Emile Woo
MD, FRCSC

Dr. Woo is a General Surgeon at Providence Health Care (Mount Saint Joseph site) in Vancouver. He completed his medical training at the University of British Columbia, and his General Surgery residency and Head and Neck Surgery Fellowship at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario. He is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Surgery at UBC. He has special interest in head and neck surgery, thyroid cancer and gastric cancer.

Dr. Jin-Si Pao
MD, FRCSC

Dr. Pao is a General Surgeon at Providence Health Care (Mount Saint Joseph site) in Vancouver. She completed her medical training at the University of Toronto and General Surgery residency at the University of British Columbia. Her hospital practice is with Providence Health Care at Mount Saint Joseph Hospital in Vancouver. She has broad interests in providing care in various general surgical conditions. She practices at the Providence Breast Centre which provides care to patients with breast conditions.

Dr. Jieun Newman-Bremang
BHSc (Hon.), MD, MSc, FRCSC

Dr. Jieun Newman-Bremang is a general surgeon and a fellowship-trained breast surgical oncologist at Providence Health Care in Vancouver. She is a graduate of the breast surgical oncology fellowship at the University of Toronto and completed her residency training in general surgery at the University of British Columbia. She graduated from medical school at the University of Toronto and holds a Master of Science (Neuroscience) degree from McGill University and a Bachelor of Health Sciences (Honours) degree from McMaster University. She is proud of her Korean heritage and is happy to provide consultations in Korean. Her hospital practice is with Providence Health Care at Mount Saint Joseph Hospital in Vancouver. She practices at the Providence Breast Centre which provides care to patients with breast conditions.

Dr. Ted Wu
MD, MSc, FRCSC

Dr. Wu is a General Surgeon at Providence Health Care in Vancouver. He completed his medical training and general surgery residency at the University of British Columbia. In addition, he holds a Master of Science in Medical Science from the University of Toronto and has completed additional fellowship training at the University of Manitoba in advanced laparoscopic surgery and complex abdominal wall reconstruction. Dr. Wu treats a broad spectrum of general surgery conditions and has special interest in managing complex and recurrent hernias, upper GI surgery, and advanced minimally invasive surgery. He also maintains a strong interest in medical education, frequently working with trainees from all levels.
